About Me

A Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience, I have lived, worked, and raised a family in Bucks County since 1989. I have been licensed to practice psychology in Pennsylvania since 1990 and in 2013 became a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist. I have held a variety of clinical, supervisory, and administrative positions serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. In addition to my private practice, I have been an Adjunct Associate Professor at Temple University, where I trained doctoral students in Clinical Psychology, and  Consulting Psychologist at Bethanna, a child welfare and behavioral health organization.

I was the founding Clinical Director of Crestwood, a residential treatment facility for severely disturbed children and adolescents, where I designed the clinical services and received a special recognition award for exemplary service from the president of Woods Services.  More recently, I spent sixteen years as a psychotherapist at Southampton Psychiatric Associates, a multidisciplinary outpatient group practice.

At Bethanna, where I worked for 18 years, I provided training, consultation, and clinical supervision to graduate students, social workers, and mental health professionals.   I have trained professionals on a variety of clinical topics, including Family Systems Therapy,  Attachment in Child and Family Therapy, Treating Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents, Engaging Parents in Treatment, and Strengths-Based Treatment.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy, supervise the clinical work of other mental health professionals, and write as a Topic Expert for the national blog.
